Confidence? But I lost the best...

Many years ago when I was traveling by bus, I remember being at one of the busiest bus stops at 5:30 in the afternoon, the buses were just packed. I was tired and wanted to go home, the bus that showed up at 10:00 After a few minutes of being at the bus stop, he was hurrying to get the passengers on, but I just let him go. The bus was packed, the aisles, everyone standing. We didn't manage to get on that bus like 4 people, we were left on the sidewalk, We were the last in line, we had to wait for another bus because we were one of the last ones.

In Habakkuk 2:3 we read: The vision is still a while away, but its fulfillment is drawing near, and it will not fail. Even though it is late, wait for its arrival, for it will surely come. It will not delay.” The bus I boarded 5 minutes later was empty, my eyes lit up, I was able to sit down, there was plenty of room. The bus left very quickly, since none of the passengers on us asked to stop. In a short time, I could see that we were passing the bus that I had let go minutes before.

How many times do we believe that the sooner we arrive, the sooner we will get to the end we want? Many times we have felt that we were left behind, that we missed opportunities, or even many times we have been all those first passengers who were desperate to get on the bus that arrived first at the stop, where everyone wanted to get on, when in reality, something that came later could take us to the same place, arrive at the same time and with more comfort.

God is wise, and He is bigger, He knows more and understands what is going to happen. Time is relative, and although the buses had the same route, the same destination, the one that left later, arrived earlier. No one has the same processes, or times. For some reason that door did not open...or we did not get on that bus at the same time as others, we just decided to trust in God.

When I was at the bus stop and saw that there was no more space and I remember how tired I was, I said in my mind one of those prayers that don't sound like a prayer, they sound like feelings: "God, may another come soon and be able to get on"... God knows more, He knows what is ahead, or comes later. Most likely... We will achieve the same as others who started their process earlier. If you think you are late, it could be that your time will be shorter and better than what it could have been years ago.
